“A great poet’s pen now lays at rest His words and thoughts, forever blessed
Though he is gone, his legacy lives on In every heart that his work has won.”

Mr. Narinder Manav was a renowned Punjabi writer and poet, born on April 23rd, 1953 in Dhuri Tehsil in Sangrur District of Punjab State, India. He was the son of Mohinder Singh, a renowned poet himself, and grew up surrounded by literature and art. Inspired by his father, Mr. Manav developed a deep love for writing and poetry from a young age, and decided to follow in his footsteps.

Throughout his career, he embarked a range of themes in his writing, including romance, social issues, and political issues. He was known for his mastery of the Punjabi language, and his poetry and prose were widely admired for their depth, sensitivity, and insight into the human condition.

His writing often explored the complexities of love and relationships, as well as the challenges facing society. Through his writing, he fearlessly addressed the pressing social and political challenges of his time, striving to bring awareness and progress to the forefront of public discourse.

Over the course of his life, he held various positions, from working at the post office while studying for his Master’s degree to becoming a political science professor at a college. He later joined the Punjab State Electricity Board and rose through the ranks, holding positions such as Information Officer, Public Relations Officer, and Superintendent. He retired after many years of dedicated service.

Despite his success and contributions to literature, his passing on October 7th, 2012, was a great loss to his family, friends, and fans. Though his work and legacy continue to inspire, his early departure serves as a reminder of life’s brevity and the preciousness of each moment.

As the saying goes, “Some souls are too pure for this world, they are needed elsewhere”, his passing was a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment we have with the ones we love.
